How To Put On Tanning Bed Lotions

By Veronica Cappelletti

Getting a tan can take time. Even if you go to a tanning salon it takes more than one visit; it takes multiple visits to get a sun-kissed glow. Using tanning bed lotions will have you darker much faster. They are not the same type you would use outside; they are just for in a bed.

It is not uncommon for people to use a salon to get a tan. People who live in areas that have a lot of sun go so they do not have to worry about damage from the sun's UV rays. People who live in areas where the sun does not shine as much go to help the tan they are getting outside.

Products designed to help you tan faster work with the sun to increase the amount of melanin in your skin. When you wear them outside, they speed up production, giving you a tan. They are not sunblocks, so you need to be careful of your sun exposure when using one.

Wearing a sun block while using a product to speed up your tan is a good idea if you are going to be outside. For a safe way to tan, there are products that dye your skin. You need to put them on and wash your hands or your hands will be dyed and look funny. Also be sure to get in any creases and folds.

Going to a salon and using a tanning bed does not produce a tan any faster than getting one outside. The difference is you do not have to wait for good weather to get started. You can already be a nice, soft brown before summer hits.

In case you did not get started early enough, use tanning bed lotions. This will keep you from having to make as many trips to the tanning beds. A normal lotion will damage the beds and you could get in trouble with the owners.
